Thunderbird is Mozilla's free email client, an excellent alternative to Outlook available for Windows, macOS and Linux. You can configure your Bacan email account in just a few minutes.
Automatic configuration (recommended)
- Open Thunderbird. If it's the first time, the setup wizard opens automatically. If not, go to Tools → Account Settings → Add Mail Account.
- Enter your name, full email address and password.
- Click Continue. Thunderbird will attempt to detect the configuration automatically.
- If found, select IMAP (recommended) and click Done.

IMAP vs POP3: which to choose?
- IMAP (recommended): emails stay on the server and are synchronized across all your devices. If you delete a message on your phone, it also disappears from your computer.
- POP3: downloads emails to the computer and removes them from the server. Only recommended if you access from a single device and want to free up server space.
