How do I create an email account in cPanel?

Email & Webmail Setup

Creating an email account with your own domain (info@yourdomain.com) in cPanel is simple and takes less than two minutes.

Steps to create the email

  1. Log in to your cPanel.
  2. Go to the Email section → Email Accounts.
  3. Click + Create.
  4. Select the domain, enter the username (the part before the @), set a password and define the mailbox quota.
  5. Click Create. The account is active instantly.

Accessing the account

  • Webmail: go to https://webmail.yourdomain.com with your email and password, or open Email Accounts in cPanel and click Check Email.
  • Outlook, iPhone, Android or Thunderbird: see the mail server configuration guide to get the IMAP/SMTP details.

Account management

From Email Accounts in cPanel you can change the password, increase the quota, suspend or delete any account. The maximum number of accounts depends on your hosting plan. Keep in mind that deleting an account also deletes all its messages.
