How to configure your Bacan.com email in Outlook step by step

Steps to configure your email in Outlook

Before you start, make sure you have:

  • Your email account already created from the control panel (DirectAdmin or cPanel).

  • Email username (example: youremail@yourdomain.com).

  • Email password.

  • The following mail server details:

Type Server Port Security
Incoming (IMAP) mail.yourdomain.com 993 SSL
Incoming (POP3) mail.yourdomain.com 995 SSL
Outgoing (SMTP) mail.yourdomain.com 465 SSL

IMAP is recommended to keep a synchronized copy of your emails on all your devices.



Configuration in Outlook (desktop version)

  1. Open Outlook on your computer.

  2. Go to File > Add Account.

  3. Enter your email address and click Connect.

  4. Select the account type: IMAP or POP3 (IMAP is recommended).

  5. Complete the server details:

    • Incoming server: mail.yourdomain.com

    • Port: 993 (IMAP) or 995 (POP3)

    • Encryption method: SSL/TLS

    • Outgoing server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.com

    • Port: 465

    • Encryption method: SSL/TLS

  6. Enter your full username (your full email) and the password.

  7. Click Next and Outlook will run a connection test.

  8. If everything is correct, you'll see a confirmation message. Done!


Useful tips

  • If you can't connect, check for typos in the server or password.

  • If you use a firewall or antivirus, it may block the ports. Try temporarily disabling it to test.

  • Outlook also allows manual email configuration from "Advanced settings" if you need to adjust ports or encryption.
