How to configure calendars and contacts in cPanel

Learn how to integrate calendars (CalDAV) and contact books (CardDAV) from your Webmail account on Apple devices and Linux systems. This complete guide shows you how step by step.

Overview

This document explains how to configure calendars and contacts using the CalDAV and CardDAV protocols on:

  • Apple devices (iOS and macOS)

  • Linux operating systems (such as Thunderbird)

In this article, user represents the Webmail user, and example.com represents the user's domain.

Important notes:

  • cPanel technical support does not provide assistance configuring these applications, as they are not developed by them.

  • You cannot add calendars or address books directly in Roundcube. To do so, use the Calendar and Contact Management interface in cPanel or Webmail.

Compatibility with other systems

Important:
This guide has been tested only on Apple products and the Thunderbird® email client, which natively support CalDAV and CardDAV.

Windows

You can use the free add-on Outlook CalDAV Synchronizer for Microsoft Outlook®.

Android

It is recommended to use the DAVx⁵ app.
