It's very common to wonder how much space we can use for our emails before seeing a "mailbox full" notice. Don't worry — at Bacan the limit is clear and depends directly on the plan you've chosen for your project.
Available space by plan
Here is the breakdown of the maximum space per account for each plan:

Free Plan: 500 MB

Entrepreneur Plan: 1 GB

Plus Plan: 3 GB

Webmaster Plan: 5 GB

Reseller Plan: 1 GB
If your needs grow and those 5 GB aren't enough, no problem! You can purchase a dedicated email plan and link it to your current hosting to have much larger mailboxes.
How to adjust the size of your accounts
Even if your plan allows up to 5 GB, you can choose to allocate less space to certain accounts to better organize your hosting. Here's how:
In DirectAdmin

Log in to your panel and go to "Email Manager".

Click on "E-mail Accounts".

Click the pencil icon next to the email you want to review.

In "Email Quota (MB)", enter the limit you want (always respecting your plan's maximum).

Click "Save".
In cPanel

Find the "Email" section and go to "Email Accounts".

Click "Manage" next to the account.

In the "Storage" section, adjust the size manually.

Scroll down and click "Update Email Settings".
Bacan Pro-Tip:
If you receive many large files, I recommend using the IMAP protocol day-to-day, but do periodic cleanups of the "Sent" and "Trash" folders. Those old emails with attachments are usually the ones that silently drain your storage quota.
