IT IS ESSENTIAL TO READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BEFORE REQUESTING THE TRANSFER.
Before transferring your domain, make sure it has been prepared for transfer. If your domain has not been properly prepared, the transfer will fail.
- You must verify and be completely sure that the administrative contact email address for the domain is correct. Once the transfer is initiated, we'll write to that email address to request permission for the domain transfer. The person who receives this email must approve the transfer. If the administrative contact of the domain does not approve the transfer, the domain cannot be transferred.
- You must be sure that the domain is not "Locked". If the domain is locked, it is necessary to unlock it before requesting the transfer. If you request the transfer while the domain is locked, it will fail.
- You must have the transfer code. To initiate the transfer process, we'll need the code that authorizes the transfer. You must obtain this code from your current registrar. Without this code, it is not possible to initiate the domain transfer.
To verify the information for points 1 and 2, you can visit: https://www.domaintools.com
Enter your domain name in the "Whois Lookup" field and click "Submit". The information returned will show you both whether the domain is locked and the administrative contact email.
Note: Domains that cannot be transferred include:
- Expired domains — you must first renew the domain with your current registrar and then transfer it.
- Domains registered less than 60 days ago — you'll need to wait until the registration is at least 60 days old before initiating a transfer.
Once the requirements for transferring the domain are met, you can initiate the process from our website.
