Great question. I completely understand the confusion because online payments can sometimes seem designed to complicate things — especially when it comes to distinguishing between credit and debit cards.
The short answer is: Yes, we accept debit cards without any issues. At Bacan we want you to launch your project today, not waste time looking for a specific credit card.
Here's the quick guide for completing your payment correctly.
How to pay for your hosting or domain with a debit card
In our system, the process for debit cards is identical to credit cards. Just make sure your card is enabled for online purchases.
Steps to complete your order:
Select your plan or domain: Once in the shopping cart, check that your order details are correct.
Choose the payment method: On the "Checkout" screen, select the Credit / Debit Card option (generally processed by Stripe or our secure gateway).
Enter your card details:
Card number: The 16 digits on the front.
Expiry date: Month and year.
CVC/CVV: The 3-digit code on the back.
Confirmation: Click the pay button. You will see a confirmation screen within seconds and receive an email with your paid invoice immediately.
Support note: If the system rejects the card when attempting payment, the most common reason is a security restriction from your bank for international purchases or daily limits. A quick call to your bank usually resolves it in minutes.
Bacan's Pro Tip
If you use a debit card, I recommend enabling Automatic Renewal from your client area. This way, the system will attempt to charge the invoice a few days before expiry. This gives you a buffer in case your card expires or has insufficient funds at that time, preventing your website from being suspended due to an oversight.
So nothing slips through the cracks:
We accept the vast majority of Visa and Mastercard debit cards worldwide.
The charge is made in real time — if the transaction is successful, your service activates instantly.
Your information travels encrypted; we never store your full card number on our servers for your security.
