This time I am going to show you how to access phpMyAdmin from your control panel.
As many of you probably know, at Bacan we have two control panels available: DirectAdmin and cPanel. Let us see how to access phpMyAdmin from each of these two different panels. First, let us go to cPanel. I have an instance open here.
This is the cPanel control panel. What we will do is go to the Databases section. The first option is phpMyAdmin. We click on it and phpMyAdmin opens in a new window, showing our databases and providing all the available options for managing them.
Now let us look at DirectAdmin. Here we search for the MySQL management section. We go in and can see the databases we have created. From here we look for the button that says «phpMyAdmin». Clicking it opens a tab with phpMyAdmin. As you can see, same functionality — everything exactly the same: databases, SQL, current status, import and export, etc.
The export section is very important, as it quickly allows you to create a backup of your databases.
Remember that you cannot create databases from within phpMyAdmin. To do that, you would need to go to the respective MySQL sections within the control panels.
This is a very simple tutorial — it is simply to show you where to find the phpMyAdmin access point.
