How do I access the DirectAdmin control panel?

Learn how to easily log into DirectAdmin to manage your hosting. Practical guide with examples, common solutions, and useful tips. Get started today!

✅ Steps to access DirectAdmin

Follow these steps to quickly log into the panel:

1. Check your activation email

When you contracted your hosting, you received a welcome email with all your access credentials. There you will find:

  • DirectAdmin panel URL

  • Username and password

  • Server information

💡 Look for a subject like «Welcome to Bacan.com» or «Control panel access credentials».

2. Log in via the direct URL

Normally, you can access DirectAdmin using one of these two options:

  • Or the server IP: https://YOUR-SERVER-IP:2222

🛑 Make sure to type https:// at the beginning and port 2222 at the end.

📌 Example:
If your domain is mywebsite.com, try accessing:

3. Enter your access credentials

Once you open the URL:

  • Username: the one you received by email (sometimes it is admin or a custom name)

  • Password: the one we sent you or the one you have changed

👉 If you see a browser security warning (due to the SSL certificate), you can proceed without issues if you are sure it is your server.

4. You're in!

Once inside, you will see the main DirectAdmin panel. From here you can:

  • Create email accounts

  • Upload files to your website

  • Install WordPress

  • Manage databases and more

🔒 Can't access? Here are some tips:

  • Your domain is not pointing to the hosting yet: Use the IP instead of the domain name.

  • Incorrect password: Try copying and pasting it from the email, without extra spaces.

  • Firewall or blocked network: Try accessing from a different browser or network (such as mobile data).

  • Hosting is still being activated: This can take a few minutes after payment.

If none of this works, contact us from your client area and we'll resolve it quickly. 😉

🛠️ Extra tip

To avoid having to remember the port :2222, you can ask us to configure a custom subdomain like panel.yourdomain.com that redirects to the panel login.
