Yes, you can have multiple domains on a single hosting plan, as long as your plan supports it. This is known as addon domains, and it allows you to host several independent websites within the same hosting account.

Here is how it works and how to set it up step by step.

What is an addon domain?

An addon domain is a domain different from the main domain of your account, which can have its own website, files, and email accounts — completely independent from the primary domain.

For example:

  • yourdomain.com (primary domain)

  • myotherdomain.com (addon domain with a separate website)

Both function as distinct sites, even though they are under the same hosting plan.

Does my plan allow multiple domains?

How to add an addon domain in cPanel or DirectAdmin

In cPanel:

  1. Log in to your cPanel from your hosting account

  2. Go to the "Domains" section and click on "Addon Domains"

  3. Enter the new domain (e.g. myotherdomain.com)

  4. The system automatically creates a folder for the new site's files

  5. Upload your web files to that folder, or install WordPress via Softaculous

Remember: You must point the new domain to your hosting using DNS or IP.

In DirectAdmin:

  1. Log in to DirectAdmin from your hosting account

  2. Go to "Domains" and select "Add New Domain"

  3. Enter the new domain and define the options (storage, bandwidth, etc.)

  4. Once saved, an independent space will be created for that domain

Can I have email accounts with the new domain?

Yes! Once the addon domain is added, you can create email accounts such as:

  • Organize your files: each domain will have its own folder, which prevents confusion.

  • If you install WordPress, do so inside the correct domain folder.
