What is the data transfer (bandwidth) limit on free hosting?

Free hosting includes unlimited data transfer, but with conditions. Learn how to use it correctly and avoid restrictions due to abuse.

What is the monthly transfer limit?

On the Bacan free plan, monthly data transfer (or bandwidth) is unlimited, meaning there is no fixed number of GB assigned per month. However, this does not mean you can use it without limits.

As with disk space, reasonable use of resources is permitted, as long as it is dedicated to the normal operation of your website.

What counts as reasonable use?

  • Your site receives normal traffic for a personal project, blog, or institutional page.

  • The content displayed (images, files, text) is optimized for the web.

  • No mass or automated downloads are taking place from your site.

Example: A blog with 10,000 to 15,000 monthly visits that loads optimized images and text is within the reasonable range for the free plan.

What counts as transfer abuse?

  • Offering files for direct download (such as movies, large ZIP files, music, etc.)

  • Using the site as a platform for mass content distribution

  • Sites with bots generating automatic traffic or denial-of-service attacks

Practical tip

If your project starts to grow and receives a lot of traffic or handles heavy content (such as online stores with many photos or download-heavy systems), the ideal solution is to migrate to a professional plan to avoid interruptions or restrictions.

Remember: the free plan is designed to help you get started, but it is not intended for high-traffic volumes or demanding commercial projects.
