The answer to this question depends on whether the domain was registered at Bacan or with another provider.
THE DOMAIN WAS REGISTERED AT Bacan
If you want to change your domain's DNS, you can make this change directly from the "My Domains" section in your client area.
Bacan's DNS are installed by default. So if your domain is going to be hosted on our servers, you don't need to do anything.
THE DOMAIN WAS REGISTERED WITH ANOTHER PROVIDER
In this case, you can make the change yourself or, if you're not sure how, we can make the change for you.
If you want to make the change yourself, you'll need to log in to the client panel provided by the company where you purchased the domain and change the DNS from there. There's usually a specific option for entering the domain's DNS.
If you'd like us to make the change for you, we'll need:
- The website where you registered your domain
- The login credentials sent to you by the company where you registered the domain (username, password and control panel for the domain)
What if you don't have those credentials?
If you don't have those credentials, that's a normal situation and there's no cause for alarm. In that case the company where you registered the domain will make the changes for you. Just contact them and ask them to update the DNS to the ones we sent in your welcome email.
