Can't send email? The system shows your sending has been suspended? Find out why and how to fix it.

I can't send email

That's correct. When your hosting tells you that your email "has been suspended" it means that we have blocked your email account's ability to send email.

This suspension is done automatically and is not done arbitrarily. There is also no one at Bacan who hates you or wants to harm you.

Why has my email sending been suspended?

That's a valid question. There can be different reasons. Here are the most common ones.

1. There are many different IPs connecting to your email and sending email. This, in 99% of cases, is evidence that your password has been stolen and spam is being sent.

2. Mass emails are being sent with a very high rejection rate. This is in 90% of cases evidence that you're sending spam to a distribution list of email addresses that don't even exist.

3. We have received reports from external agents reporting your activity around the blocked email account.

4. A virus on some device where you have the account configured has gained access to it and is sending spam.

In short, at Bacan we suspend any account that is sending spam, whether because you (the owner) are sending spam, or because someone else has gained access to your email and is sending spam from your account.

Remember this because it's very important: at Bacan we have zero tolerance for spam.

Why do we block the account?

Because spam is a crime. And we cannot allow anyone to use our servers to commit crimes. By blocking the account, we are protecting ourselves and protecting you too.

What should I do to fix the problem?

It depends. If the spam is being sent by you, you must stop it immediately. Then contact our support system, where we'll give you additional instructions.

If you're sure you're not sending spam, you should clean your devices of viruses and trojans, and only after making sure your devices are clean, request our support team to restore the service.

When restoring the service in all cases, our technicians will set a new password for your email account. Keep this in mind, as your old password will not work.
