How to bring your website step by step

Depending on the panel you choose in your new plan with us, the process varies slightly. Here is the path to follow:

If you use cPanel

  1. Generate a Backup: In your current hosting, look for the "Backups" or "Backup Wizard" option and download the complete file of your site and databases.

  2. Upload your files: Log in to your new panel at Bacan, go to the File Manager, and load the content into the public_html folder.

  3. Import the Database: From phpMyAdmin, create a new database and import the .sql file you previously downloaded.

  4. Adjust the connection: Don't forget to edit your website's configuration file (such as wp-config.php in WordPress) with the new database username and password you created.

If you prefer DirectAdmin

  1. Upload your content: You'll see a folder called domains. Enter there, select your domain, then open public_html. That's where your files should go.

  2. Configure access: Go to MySQL Management to create your database and user. It's a process of just three fields, very intuitive.

  3. Go live: Once files are uploaded and the database is connected, your website will be ready to shine.
